Nestled in the heart of Utah’s desert, our retreat space offers a luxurious glamping experience that perfectly blends comfort with the rugged beauty of nature. Located just minutes from Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, this eco-friendly retreat features safari-inspired canvas tents with plush beds, private bathrooms, and wood-burning stoves for cozy nights under the stars. Surrounded by sweeping red rock landscapes and endless desert skies, it is the ideal base for outdoor adventures and quiet moments of connection with nature.

Shared Luxury Safari Tent
The shared tent includes three twin beds set on a wood-deck floor and wood-burning stove to keep you warm at night. A bathhouse with private rooms—including hot showers, flushing toilets, and sinks—are conveniently located close to your tent.

The private tent offers a plush king-size bed and wood-burning stove to keep you warm at night. A bathhouse with private rooms—including hot showers, flushing toilets, and sinks—are conveniently located close to your tent.
Meet Your Hosts
Mary Tilson
Mary is a certified Addiction Recovery Coach (IAPRC), certified Facilitator in Addiction Awareness (CFAA), Trauma-Informed Yoga & Meditation Teacher and International Retreat Leader. She’s facilitated over 50+ retreats in wilderness locations across the world. Mary is also a podcast host and the founder of Sun & Moon Sober Living, an inclusive sober community.
Carrie Nicole May
Carrie is a certified Professional Recovery Coach (CPRC), Nurse Practitioner and a fierce advocate of living life alcohol free. She is the Founder of Chicago AF, a large diverse non-profit sober community in the Greater Chicago area changing the landscape of socializing without alcohol. She is the Founder of Brave, her adventure and boutique recovery coaching practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
The closest airport is Canyonlands Regional Airport (CNY), located just 20 minutes away, with direct flights from major cities. Alternatively, Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) is a 1.5-hour scenic drive. Once you’re on Highway 191, follow the well-marked signs to Under Canvas, located just 7 miles north of Moab and minutes from Arches National Park. Whether you arrive by plane or car, the drive into Moab sets the stage for the beauty and tranquility awaiting you at this serene retreat.
This retreat is open to sober and sober-curious women. Our intention is to bring together a group with a shared interest in living alcohol-free. This retreat is not a replacement to addiction treatment and will not be suitable for those in active addiction.
You do not have to be an experienced hiker to join us, just a willingness to take it one step at a time. If you do have physical limitations or injuries, please share them with us before booking and we will help you determine if this retreat will be suitable.
Absolutely! We’ve created this experience in order to encourage connection and build community. Traveling solo is a great option to make new friends. You can also book shared accommodation and will be placed with other women.
The majority of our rooms are shared, but we do have limited availability for single rooms at an added price.
